usb-c charging doesnt seem to be working correctly for me. I've tried with a Macbook Charger and through a usb-c dock and while the icon shows the battery charging, it actually looses power.

Can we upgrade 22.04 by editing the sources?

@george i also have ubuntu showing two realtek wlan devices, maybe thats a clue to something?

Also i compiled for V20 since i replaced the motherboard

@george i cleaned the contacts on the wlan card and the main processor card, still the usb bluetooth card doesnt show up maybe the board is faulty?

I replaced the board in my laptop with the newer one and compiled the firmware, but now i have two wlan adapters showing and no bluetooth available.

@george it says it cant be shipped to my location?

Is there a Possibility of getting this new board shipped to Germany?

And is there a chance to ship to Germany?

@george and these boards fit the case of the older model perfectly?

@George is there a Possibility to buy the bare v2 board if we already have the Laptop?

Are there any plans for a Board revision that would allow charging through the USB-C port?

For anyone who has a similar issue like me, it turned out the nvme ssd i was using didn't agree with the notebook when it came to sleep states. I swapped it with an WD Blue SN570 and now everything works as expected.

@george i tried both armbian and Ubuntu images flashed to emmc only and have the problem, if i suspend from menu and closing the lid. The power light stays on and the Laptop doesn't respond to keys. anything else i should try?

@george So with the suspend issue, any idea? It would be really useful for the laptop to be able to suspend. Otherwise i currently have to set it to turn off on closing the Lid.

@george currently i have the home folders on an nvme, the rest is on the emmc
Also sometimes it wont boot and be stuck at a blinking underscore, from reeding it seems that both my issues could be videodriver issues

Edit: So the boot issue was a problem with my disk setup, and i did fix it, but i still can't get the laptop to suspend.

@george when i close the lid the light stays on and the screen turns off. after that it doesn’t respond to the power button, so i have to forcefully shut it down by keeping the button pressed

@george i can confirm that with the latest ubuntu image the laptop will not wake even after pushing the power button

@george thanks for the answers, it seems suspend isn’t working on my machine, as in it doesn’t wake up again.

Also what are the future prospects for the Cool Pi architecture? Will it stay on these custom images or are there plans to get it to boot more general distributions?

Additionally does the cm5 not support sleep?

i have got the CM5 laptop that came with Ubuntu but i cant seem to install it on an nvme drive? Also when the laptop page mentioned uefi boot what does that mean exactly, can i install generic uefi arm-linux versions?
